In Tiruvannamalai, each full moon, hundreds of thousands of barefooted pilgrims gather around Arunachala, the sacred mountain dedicated to Shiva. During all the night, the procession walk under the glowing moon veiled by the smokes of pujas. Pilgrims stop in front of each small temple, sanctuary or altar, hoping to receive blessings from Shiva Himself, to be liberated from their sins or to attract the Divine Grace.
