This form of natural agriculture reconciles tradition and modernity by empowering local knowledge which is adapted to the climate and the geography of the land. Agroecology, which is more attractive and profitable than chemical agriculture, also allows the environment to be protected and the lands’ fertility to be ensured for future generations. Jérômine Derigny and Guillaume Jan travelled to the north of Burkina Faso to follow the ecological transition of one of these farmers, Madi Savadro. By applying 100% natural agriculture, the farmer is finding his food independence and making his dream come true : turning the Sahel green again.
